Naples - A 27-year-old convicted felon was arrested in Naples after a daring car chase. The Guardia di Finanza, conducting an economic check in the Corso Garibaldi area, noticed a suspicious vehicle whose driver, upon seeing officers, ignored a stop sign and fled the scene with dangerous maneuvers.

The chase ended in a side street of Corso Sirena, in the Barra district, thanks to the intervention of a second patrol, alerted by the Operations Room of the Provincial Command of the Yellow Flames.

During his escape he also damaged the Guardia di Finanza car.

In a last-ditch attempt to escape, the fugitive hit a service car before being finally stopped.

The man, with a criminal record for fraud and possession of weapons, was arrested for resisting a public official. He was tried with a summary trial and sentenced to six months in prison, with a suspended sentence.
