Naples - Mayor Gaetano Manfredi dismisses the growing discontent within his city council majority as a natural debate.
"During the pre-election phase for the regional elections, debate is natural. The important thing is that it be constructive and fair," said the mayor of Naples, referring to concerns raised by members of the majority party that supports him regarding the behavior of others.
"I believe that debate is a value, then obviously there must be loyalty in relationships and loyalty towards the administration", he specifies. Manfredi, on the sidelines of an appointment, to those who explicitly referred to the discontent reported by the Neapolitan edition of Repubblica towards the Green Party MP, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, and the city councilor elected on the Manfredi Sindaco list and now in Azione, Gennaro Esposito, who, in his capacity as lawyer, supported the anti-movida appeal that saw the City of Naples condemned.

Borrelli, within the city council, is accused of making attacks on the city administration and of making statements about his candidacy for mayor. Both are accused of "being in opposition" despite being part of the center-left alliance that formed the Manfredi administration.
The mayor explained to reporters that "I met with Francesco Borrelli just a few days ago to discuss what needs to be done," and reiterated that "the debate is natural; the important thing is that it be constructive and fair."
