Naples - Two 16-year-olds were charged with unauthorized possession of weapons: one was found in possession of a 20-cm switchblade, the other with metal knuckledusters. Both were arrested at the "Piscinola - Scampia" metro station.
A 68-year-old woman was reported for escaping house arrest. In the Historic Center and the Spanish Quarters several people were reported, including a 20-year-old found with a knife with a switchblade in via Mezzocannone, a 19-year-old in possession of marijuana packaged in doses and a peer caught stealing a cell phone from a tourist in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore.
The latter was tracked down after an attempted escape on a scooter.

During the operation, a total of 644 people were identified, 323 vehicles were checked, and 102 traffic fines were issued. Twenty-two vehicles were seized.
Two venues were fined for lack of authorization for music broadcasting and 4 people were reported to the Prefecture for possession of small quantities of drugs.

It is incredible how young people can end up carrying such dangerous weapons. I hope the authorities do something more to prevent situations like this, it is not possible to live in a climate of fear.
