With an allocation of 1,75 million euros, the Campania Region is giving a concrete acceleration to the process of creating the Museum Centre of the Province of Caserta.
The funding, provided for by Council Resolution number 50 which approved the project presented in recent weeks, is part of the Development and Cohesion Fund (FSC) 2021-2027, within the framework of the Cohesion Agreement of the Campania Region, which allocates a total of 8 million euros to the improvement of museums, art galleries and libraries in the provinces of Caserta, Salerno, Benevento and Avellino.
The Caserta Museum Complex will include the Museo Campano in Capua, the “Olivetti” Museum in Villa Vitrone, the “Federico Scialla” Library and the Sports Museum, and will represent an integrated system that will offer citizens and visitors a broader and more structured cultural experience.
"The funding from the Campania Region - explains the president of the Province of Caserta Marcello De Rosa - is a fundamental step for the growth and relaunch of our cultural heritage. With this project we want to strengthen the entire museum network, integrating entities such as the Olivetti Museum of Villa Vitrone, which bears witness to our industrial and technological tradition.
The goal is to improve the spaces, enhance the exhibition offering and create a system capable of attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors. An investment that looks to the future, combining tradition, innovation and cultural development for our territory”.
