Pompeii – Caught working illegally while receiving unemployment benefits: two waiters and the owner of a restaurant on Via Roma in trouble.
During a routine check on local businesses, the Carabinieri of the Pompeii station have identified the two irregular workers. In addition to the lack of a regular contract, the investigations revealed that both were recipients of unemployment benefits.
All three were immediately reported: the two waiters will have to answer for the crime of fraud against the State, while the owner of the restaurant is accused of complicity in the same crime.

During the operation, the military also found irregularities in a bar on the same street. The owner was fined for violations of hygiene and health regulations and for using a food storage facility without authorization.
The checks will continue in the coming days to combat undeclared work and ensure compliance with current regulations.
