Naples – The action to combat criminal infiltration into the local economic fabric continues. The prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has issued four new anti-mafia interdictions against as many companies operating in the catering and non-food trade sectors, with headquarters in the municipalities of Marano, Qualiano and Naples.
The measure, adopted as part of the prevention activities coordinated by the Prefecture with the support of the police and the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate, aims to block the risk of conditioning of the legal economy by criminal organizations.
“The Prefecture's action is contributing significantly to preventing Camorra infiltration into the market, ensuring the protection of economic public order, free competition between businesses and the proper functioning of the Public Administration,” reads an official note.
Anti-mafia interdictions represent a key instrument to stem the expansion of criminal gangs in productive sectors, preventing them from obtaining illicit economic advantages and altering the regular functioning of the market.

It is important that the authorities take action against criminal infiltration, but there are always questions about how this happens and whether it really solves the economic problems in the area. Let's wait and see the results.
I agree with Patrizia, we need more transparency and communication from the institutions to better understand the effectiveness of these measures. Let's hope they lead to a real improvement in the situation.
