Succivo – Moments of terror last February 19th at a gas station in Succivo, in the Caserta area, where an armed criminal carried out a robbery. The images from the video surveillance cameras captured the entire scene, documenting the criminals' lightning-fast action.
Around 20:XNUMX p.m., a Fiat Panda stopped near the service area. A man with his face covered by a wool hat and scarf got out of the car, while his accomplice remained behind the wheel with the engine running, ready to escape.
The robber pulled out a gun and pointed it at the gas station employee, who attempted to take refuge inside the bar. The attacker caught up with him and, under threat of the gun, forced him to hand over the day's takings.
Having grabbed the loot, the criminal quickly got back into the car and fled with his accomplice. The Carabinieri are investigating the case and are analyzing surveillance footage to identify the perpetrators.
The victim of the robbery, after filing a formal complaint, made an appeal to the Green-Sinistra alliance deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli: "We are workers, and yet it seems like we are on the war front."
“Here we are allowing citizens, workers, shopkeepers and entrepreneurs to risk their lives every day” - comments Borrelli - “We are gambling with their lives because to stop the criminal drift a tough and decisive intervention is needed by having the territories at risk patrolled by the police forces.
Yet the appeals of the community, ours and those who demand security, are systematically ignored, not to say mocked. If we continue to declare that the presence of agents on the territory has been reinforced when in fact the lack is evident, either we do not have a clear perception of the gravity of the phenomenon or we are acting in bad faith. In order not to think badly, we opt for the first option. Now they know how dangerous it is to live among criminal lunatics, let them intervene”

It is really sad to read about episodes like these, in a gas station you do not expect such a violent robbery. I hope that the police can do more to ensure safety for all of us citizens who live in fear every day.
