The Carabinieri of Avezzano, with the support of personnel from the Agropoli Carabinieri Company, executed a precautionary custody order for a 31-year-old man accused of aggravated robbery in conjunction with another crime that occurred last September.
Along with two others, the man is also charged with conspiracy to cause serious bodily harm. The arrested man, with a criminal record for similar crimes, was located in the municipality of Capaccio Paestum and taken to the Antonio Caputo prison in Salerno - Out.
According to investigators' reconstruction, on September 23, two criminals, one of whom was disguised as a woman—the 2-year-old arrested today—entered a jewelry store in Avezzano with their faces covered, immobilized the owner, a 31-year-old woman, and forcefully led her to the basement, injuring her head and limbs.
One of the two pointed a gun at the woman's face to force her to open the safe and the cash register, taking possession of jewelry worth approximately 2 thousand euros and a sum of cash equal to approximately 70 thousand euros.

The two robbers then fled at breakneck speed through the streets of the city centre in a car, driven by a third accomplice, which had counterfeit license plates applied.
The immediate on-site inspection carried out by the Carabinieri of the Avezzano Operational Unit allowed them to identify and collect traces of significant investigative value, which were sent to the Carabinieri Scientific Investigations Unit in Rome for genetic profiling.
Specifically, the evidence consists of a piece of glove and a small amount of blood that the robber, dressed as a woman, dropped when the victim attempted to remove the robber's hand from her face, which was blocking her breathing. The results of the analyses conducted by the Carabinieri's special unit, along with other important investigative findings, have led to the identification of the 32-year-old arrested this morning, while investigations continue to identify the other two criminals.
