What's new in audience monitoring
Starting this year, Auditel, the leading company in the collection of television and radio data in Italy, has introduced a new measurement method called “total audience”.
This innovation also allows viewers of streaming and on-demand services to be considered, along with other devices, thus expanding the detection base compared to the past, which was limited exclusively to television viewers. Using the new system, the fourth episode of Sanremo recorded an average of 13.575.000 viewers, for a share of 70,8 percent. In the first part, the numbers reached 16.658.000 viewers (69,23 percent share), while the second part saw 9.894.000 viewers, with a 74,05 percent share.
