The journalism world is mourning the passing of Ilaria Iacoboni, the renowned voice of Radio Capital, who passed away in Rome at the age of 49. Originally from Naples, she dedicated many years to the editorial staff of the Gedi Group radio station, initially working on the news program and later on the afternoon broadcasts.

Iacoboni's career has been marked by important experiences, including hosting Tg Zero.

Alongside Vittorio Zucconi and current news director Edoardo Buffoni, he also collaborated with Michela Murgia. She had been battling cancer for two years, always maintaining her professionalism and trademark smile.

Her colleagues at Radio Capital fondly remember her dedication to journalism, the kindness and humanity that distinguished her in her work and personal life. Ilaria Iacoboni leaves behind a son, Tazio, 12 years old, and her partner Marco. The funeral will take place on Thursday, February 20, at 10 a.m., at the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, in Rome.
