Parolise – A sad epilogue for the disappearance of the 82-year-old who had been missing since February 12. The man's lifeless body was found today in a rugged, uninhabited area of the Municipality of Parolise, following an intense search conducted by a vast deployment of forces.
The search, coordinated by the Prefecture of Avellino , saw the participation of military personnel from the SAGF Station of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, with the assistance of an AW139 helicopter from the Naval Air Operations Department of Naples, which located the body and clothes of the elderly man during a flyover of the areas concerned.
The SAGF Station military personnel intervened on site and found the missing man's body. The search operations also involved the Fire Brigade, the Carabinieri, the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps, the Civil Protection and other volunteer associations.
