A new talent is emerging forcefully on the Italian music scene. Settembre has been announced as the winner of the ninth annual Nuovo Imaie Enzo Jannacci Award. The jury, composed of Dodi Battaglia, Paolo Jannacci, and singer Clara, unanimously chose to award the Campanian artist for his song "Vertebre." This decision highlighted the young performer's communicative and vocal qualities.

The Award Ceremony and the Song

“Vertebre” was recognized for its unique combination of a scratchy vocality and the depth of the communicative content. The dramatic sounds and the freshness of Settembre's vocal timbre were particularly appreciated. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 13 February at 15:00 pm in the Press Room of the Ariston Theatre. The ceremony moderated by Alvaro Moretti, deputy director of Il Messaggero, will also be attended by prominent figures such as Dodi Battaglia, Paolo Jannacci, Clara and the President of Nuovo Imaie, Andrea Miccichè. The latter underlined the importance of encouraging young talents such as Settembre, highlighting how the song significantly explores emotions and confusion typical of youth.

Recognition and Sustainability

In addition to the prestigious award, Settembre will receive a statuette of Enzo Jannacci, created by master goldsmith Michele Affidato, and a financial contribution from Nuovo Imaie to support his professional career. This award not only represents recognition of the career of a promising young artist but also serves as a springboard for further creative developments.
