A bridge of solidarity between Sorrento and Dana Point is strengthened in the name of education and support for young talents: on the occasion of the visit of the delegation from the Californian twin city, a ceremony was held in the council chamber of the Municipal Palace of Sorrento, during which two awards were assigned scholarships of the total value of dollars 1.500 to deserving young students, thanks to the initiative of the Rotary Club.
The people who delivered the check were Bob Zasa, President-elect for 2026/2027 of the Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club of Dana Point and president of the association Sister Cities International, and Brown Piscopo, President 2024/2025 of the Rotary Club Sorrento.

The ceremony was attended by numerous authorities, including the mayor of Sorrento, Massimo Coppola, President of the City Council, Luigi Di Prisco, and the Dana Point City Council President John Gabbard. For the Rotary Club Sorrento was also present Alfredo Ciccodicola, past-president 2023/2024 and responsible for youth exchange activities between the two Rotary Clubs.
The event reaffirmed the strong bond between Sorrento and Dana Point, a relationship that is realized through projects of great value for the new generations. The collaboration between the two Rotary Club it confirms itself as a virtuous example of international cooperation, with the purpose of support the academic and professional path of young people, giving them new opportunities for the future.
