Afànisi, Alessandro Paschitto's play, performing at the Teatro Nuovo in Naples on March 1 and 2, 2025, is a thrilling experience that transcends the confines of traditional theater. Presented by the Neapolitan company Ctrl+Alt+Del, the show engages audiences in a unique interactive experience.
A Theatre of Participation
The play features actors Raimonda Maraviglia, Alessandro Paschitto, and Francesco Roccasecca, who do not recite a traditional script but engage in a nonverbal dialogue with the audience.

Stimulate the Imagination
Throughout the performance, the concept of visual theater is challenged through provocative questions and an invitation to mental participation. The actors encourage the audience to use their imagination, creating a dynamic environment in which each spectator becomes a catalyst and an essential element of the dialogue. The performance is not limited to fiction, but is transformed into something authentic through the audience's interaction, which fills the stage space with its presence. This process of co-creation emphasizes the active role of each individual in building community and the power of human connection.

The show Afànisi seems very interesting and different from what we are used to seeing, but I am not sure if the idea of involving the audience is always positive. There are often difficulties in communication between actors and audience.
