The Teatro Mediterraneo in Naples will be the evocative setting for the concert “VENTO DEL SUD for AFRICA”, scheduled for February 28, 2025 at 20.30:XNUMX pm. Created by singer-songwriter Shara, the event aims to raise funds for the “Mulagi Mission” initiative.
The village of Mulagi, located in eastern Uganda, benefits from the support of the I Care Foundation, founded in Naples thanks to the Eucharistic Ancelle di Melito and a group of volunteers dedicated to humanitarian interventions in Africa.
A Sponsored Event
The Campania Region, the Metropolitan City of Naples and the Municipality of Naples morally sponsor the concert, which is part of the program of Naples City of Music. Ferdinando Tozzi, Advisor to the Mayor for the music industry, will be present during the evening. Journalist and writer Michelangelo Iossa will host the event, which will see numerous artists from southern Italy perform.
Solidarity and Inclusion
All proceeds from the concert will go towards the construction of a Shelter for abandoned children in Mulagi. Father Michele Bianco will speak to reflect on themes of brotherhood and spirituality. The musical opening will be entrusted to “Time”, a song by Shara focused on the value of time. There will also be tributes to famous artists from the South, such as the Neapolitan Pino Daniele, and a tribute to Michael Jackson by the choir “O' MANICÒ…RO”, directed by Luciana Mazzone and associated with the ARCC.
Art and Collaborations
The evening will be enriched by moments of dance by choreographer Marco Auggiero and will culminate with the unreleased song “Eternamente”, written by Shara. The latter, dedicated to the project “Vento del Sud for Africa”, will be presented with the participation of singer Djarah Khan and the video will be released in March. Partners of the event include BCC Napoli, MJJ Foundation Naples and other entities committed to social causes. The entire organization is followed by the television program “InCittà”, hosted by Lorenza Licenziati.

The event seems very interesting, but I don't really understand how the fundraising for Mulagi works. I hope that the artists who participate will give their best and that there will be many people to help.
