Vico Equense – A storm breaks out over the behaviour of numerous police officers municipal police who this morning received a notice of investigation for some incidents of absenteeism and improper use of company vehicles for private purposes.

This morning, in fact, the military personnel of the Guardia di Finanza of the Naval Station of Napoli and the Castellammare di Stabia Company executed a search and seizure order at the Municipal Police Headquarters of Vico Equense.
The order, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata, led to the acquisition of official documents, including registers, service records and stamps, in addition to the seizure of three cell phones and the memory of a computer used by Police Force personnel.
The investigation into building abuses started in 2023
The investigation originates from an environmental police operation launched in May 2023 to combat urban planning and landscape crimes. During today's activities, 22 notices of investigation were served on as many Municipal Police officers of Vico Equense.
The charges concern crimes against public administration, with particular reference to episodes of absenteeism and the improper use of service vehicles for private purposes. The investigation continues to shed light on any further responsibilities.
