Walter Mastroberardino, founder of the Terredora Di Paolo winery and a symbolic figure of Campania viticulture, passed away at the age of 92.
The death occurred in Montefusco, a historic village between the provinces of Avellino and Benevento, where the entrepreneur peacefully ended his days.
Born in 1933, heir to the Mastroberardino family – a pillar of the Italian wine scene – Walter was able to bring about a decisive turning point in the sector as early as the XNUMXs.
Convinced of the enormous potential of the wines of his land, he devoted his energies to conquering the markets of Central and Northern Italy and beyond, promoting the Campania labels through international fairs, collaborations with prestigious restaurants and selected wine shops.
Today, thanks to his vision, Terredora Di Paolo exports to over thirty countries, confirming Irpinia as a global excellence.
Until the end, Mastroberardino embodied an overwhelming passion for the world of wine. His passing marks the end of an era, but Walter Mastroberardino's legacy - between innovation and historical roots - remains a beacon for Italian winemaking.
