NAPLES – Moments of terror erupted Sunday morning in a home in the Capodimonte area , where a 39-year-old man with a criminal record attacked and injured his family members using a pair of scissors.
The man was arrested by State Police officers on charges of domestic violence and aggravated assault and charged with possession of weapons or offensive objects . Law enforcement responded promptly: officers from the UPGSP , engaged in territorial control, arrived on the scene after a report was made to the Operations Room.
Upon their arrival, they found the attacker clearly agitated, while his injured and shaken family members recounted what had happened. According to initial reports, the man had acted for trivial reasons , kicking and punching his relatives , and finally with the scissors , which were later found on the landing of the apartment. After calming the situation and providing assistance to the injured, the officers arrested the 39-year-old and handed him over to the judicial authorities.
