The second edition of the AICS Hotels Naples League, the tournament that pits the teams of the city's hotel facilities against each other in a challenge characterised by sport and aggregation.
From March 18th to May 21th, eight teams will compete for the title on the San Rocco di Capodimonte field, in a championship that represents not only a sporting challenge, but also an opportunity for sharing for the Neapolitan tourism-hospitality sector. Competing for the trophy will be the representatives of Costa del Vesuvio (reigning champions), Santa Lucia (holder of the Amatori Cup), Gold Tower, Hotel Mediterraneo, Holiday Inn, Royal Continental, Campi Flegrei Napoli Random and Centro Storico NapoliThe tournament, organized by AICS, will be developed in several phases, with the playoffs scheduled for May and the championship finals scheduled for 20 and 21 May.
The event was presented in the Sala della Loggia of Castel Nuovo in the presence of numerous institutional representatives and representatives of the hotel sector, including theCouncilor for Sport of the Municipality of Naples, Emanuela Ferrante, the president of Federalberghi Naples Salvatore Naldi, the president of Federalberghi Costa del Vesuvio Adelaide Palomba, the president of Federalberghi Campi Flegrei Robert Larynx and the president of AICS Campania Manuela Papaccio.
During the presentation, Councilor Ferrante underlined the value of sport as a tool for social aggregation, highlighting how initiatives of this type contribute to strengthening the community fabric of the city. “Naples has been nominated European Capital of Sport 2026 precisely thanks to the ability to propose projects that involve the greatest possible number of people", Ferrante declared.
The tournament was created last year on the initiative of Marco Zuppetta, Director of Lifestyle Hotel Gold Tower, with the support ofCouncilor for Tourism of the Municipality of Naples, Teresa Armato. Its aim is to promote sport as a tool for well-being and team building within the hotel industry, creating an opportunity for workers in the sector to meet. The competition was launched by Super Cup, won by theSaint Lucia hotels, who beat the reigning champions Coast of Vesuvius with a net 5-1. Now all the teams are ready to challenge each other in a championship that promises to be full of emotions.
