POMPEII – The Torre Annunziata court has validated the arrest in flagrante delicto of Andrea Gaetano Boccia, 44, accused of aggravated theft of electricity from his commercial business in Pompeii.
Judge Emma Aufieri ordered him to report to the judicial police. Boccia, brother of Maria Rosaria Boccia, is defended by the lawyer Annapaola Palomba and has rejected all charges, declaring: "I have nothing to fear, because I have done nothing. We have shown documents that prove that the bills have been paid regularly and that the meter in question is linked to a warehouse that I rented in 2022".
According to Enel technicians, however, the failure to pay for electricity dates back to 2016, for an amount of approximately 35.000 €. At the defense's request, the judge adjourned the trial until mid-April, when new evidence will be examined to clarify the case.
