Following the serious incident that occurred last night in the municipality of Castel San Giorgio, where unknown persons detonated a homemade explosive device at the entrance to the Town Hall at around 2,10 am, a meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety was immediately called at the Government Palace.
The meeting, coordinated by the Prefect of Alerno, Francesco Esposito, was attended by the provincial leaders of the Police Forces. The Prefect, with the heads of the Police Forces, is following the situation with the utmost attention and has immediately ordered the intensification of surveillance measures within the coordinated control of the territory.
On this occasion, Prefect Esposito expressed condemnation for the episode and utmost closeness and solidarity to the Mayor Paola Lanzara, the municipal administration and the entire community of Castel San Giorgio.
