Bad weather in Campania: yellow alert tomorrow

The Civil Protection of the Region c, following the assessments of the Functional Center and in consideration of the disturbance that is affecting the regional territory, has issued a weather alert for thunderstorms of level 'Yellow' valid from midnight until 12 tomorrow, Friday 14 March, only in the areas of Piana campana, Naples, Islands, Vesuvian Area, Alto Volturno and Matese.

Rainfall and thunderstorms are expected, including intense ones. Localized hydrogeological instability is expected. Among the main risks expected related to the consequences of the precipitations are: flooding, inundations, runoff, rising water levels of watercourses.

Landslides and falling rocks will also be possible. Mayors of the territories affected by the warning are reminded to "activate the Municipal Operations Centers, to implement all measures provided for by their respective civil protection plans and to pay attention to the warnings of the Unified Operations Room of the regional Civil Protection".
