A street building Bagnoli, in Naples, was evacuated during the night following the 3.5 magnitude earthquake recorded by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) yesterday evening, Friday 14 March 2025, at 19.44 pm.
The decision came at the end of a series of technical checks carried out on the building, which pushed the authorities to opt for a precautionary evacuation.
The inhabitants of the building, located at number 480 of Via Bagnoli, were forced to leave their homes and find temporary accommodation elsewhere.
During the night, residents collected their belongings under the watchful eye of law enforcement and rescuers. The firefighters, the State Police and the local police of Naples intervened on site to coordinate operations and ensure safety.
Seismic activity continues in Campi Flegrei, an area that continues to keep the local population in suspense. The latest tremor, felt distinctly, has rekindled fears and led to the adoption of immediate measures to protect the inhabitants of the affected area.
Yesterday evening at 22,42pm another tremor of magnitude 2.0 was recorded while after a quiet night this morning at 9,28am seismic surveyors recorded a seismic tremor of magnitude 1.1 in Veneto.

The article talks about an earthquake that hit Naples, but I don't really understand why it was necessary to evacuate the building. The authorities should have done more checks before evacuating people. Also, the residents deserve more information.
