Naples – An intense territorial control service involved the neighbourhood of Naples yesterday morning Secondigliano, in particular via della Bussola, where the police carried out comprehensive checks, leading to numerous fines and reports.
The operation, coordinated by the Secondigliano Police Station, saw the participation of a large number of institutions: from the Local Police of Naples (with the operational units of Secondigliano,
Environmental Protection and Building Protection) to the Labor Inspectorate, from the ASL Na1 Centro (with the Veterinary Service and Collective Prevention) to the ENEL technicians, up to the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Department and the canine units of the General Prevention Office.
The numbers of the blitz
40 people identified, 26 of whom had criminal records;
47 vehicles checked, with 2 seizures for lack of insurance and 6 violations of the Highway Code;
16 cars towed because they were abandoned and had no insurance coverage.
Business checks: irregularities and mistreatment
During the checks, the owner of a commercial establishment was fined for lack of SCIA (Certified Notification of Commencement of Activity) and for illegal occupation of public land.
But the most serious situation emerged in an arcade, where the manager was reported for:
Failure to display the prohibited games table;
Lack of authorizations for the activity, sale of food and alcohol;
Animal abuse: a pit bull-like dog was found inside the premises without a microchip and with mutilated ears.
Building abuses and energy theft
The checks also involved three public housing units, illegally occupied and illegally connected to the electricity grid. The tenants were reported for energy theft and illegal occupation of properties.
The discovery of the replica pistols
One of the most significant incidents occurred in the Bronx neighborhood, where officers discovered, hidden in a stairwell, a backpack containing two replica pistols – without the mandatory red cap – which were later seized.
The operation demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement in combating widespread illegality and minor crimes, often linked to situations of degradation and organized crime. Further investigations are underway to ascertain any links with illegal activities.
