Ercolano – A major anti-drug operation by the Carabinieri began at dawn between the Vesuvian area and the Sorrento coast.
A criminal organization, structured to simultaneously manage multiple drug dealing centers, has been hit by a precautionary custody order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA).
The Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco company executed the order against 13 people , accused, to varying degrees, of association for the purpose of drug trafficking, possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and attempted extortion.
The investigations revealed a widespread network that operated from Ercolano , expanding throughout the Vesuvian area and reaching Naples and the Sorrento peninsula . Over 500 drug dealing incidents were documented during the investigation , with an organizational structure that guaranteed coverage of a large swath of territory.
