On the double anniversary of the 80th Liberation and the important partisan action, the BookCrossing Camerota Association organizes an event dedicated to Peppino Gracceva.
On Saturday, March 15, the conference room of Palazzo Salerno in Camerota will host the presentation of the book “Gracceva. The adventurous life of the partisan who saved Pertini and Saragat” by Massimiliano Amato. This biographical work offers an in-depth look at the life of the partisan who played a crucial role in the escape from Regina Coeli prison.
Peppino Gracceva, a Partisan to Discover
Peppino Gracceva emerges as a central figure in the Roman resistance. Amato’s book narrates in precise detail his life full of memorable events. Recognized for his contribution to freedom, Gracceva is remembered for his dedication to the ideals of the resistance. The biography is not only documented but also gripping, presenting his story with twists worthy of a novel.
A Cultural Event of Significance
The evening will not lack important speeches, including that of Don Gianni Citro, president of the Fondazione Meeting del Mare CREA. The BookCrossing Camerota Association, active since 2017, continues to promote reading and culture through bookcrossing initiatives and literary meetings. This event represents an opportunity to revisit the story of an unknown hero who significantly influenced the course of the Resistance, highlighting the value of knowledge and empathy as tools for change.

The event dedicated to Peppino Gracceva seems very interesting, but I don't understand why so much attention is given to a partisan figure. There are many other stories that deserve to be told, and perhaps we should consider those too.
