The latest Camorra feud at Pallonetto between the Elia clan and the Sesso family gang has been reconstructed by the Naples DDA, thanks to the investigations of the Flying Squad, with 5 arrests.
Revenge, settling scores, and an unusual request for "financial compensation" for the murder of Pasquale Sesso . This disturbing glimpse of organized crime emerges from the investigation into that murder, which occurred on the night of July 5, 2023, in Santa Lucia.
According to the reconstruction by the police and the District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA), the crime triggered a spiral of violence with two attempted murders and the extortion of 150 thousand euros in Rolex watches , aggravated by mafia-style methods.
The perpetrators of the crimes are believed to be five members of the Sesso del Pallonetto gang, linked to the Mazzarella clan and at odds with the Elia family. Arrested are Gennaro Sesso, known as "Genny 'ra nera," 40, the victim's brother; his nephew, Ciro Sesso, 30; Pasquale Ottaviano, 45, cousin of Paolo Mazzarella; Giuseppe Sesso, Ciro's brother; and Ciro Lemaire, 25.
The latter, together with Giuseppe Sesso, would be among the material executors of the two attempted murders, while all five arrested are accused of threats and private violence.
Revenge after the murder
The investigation, coordinated by the DDA and conducted by the Naples Flying Squad (led by director Giovanni Leuci and deputy commissioner Luigi Vissicchio), led in recent months to the arrest of Gennaro Belaeff for the murder of Pasquale Sesso.
The same provision also included the names of Antonio Giuliano and Mario Pariso , both under investigation at large for having presumably procured the weapon for the murderer.
The news apparently reached the Sesso family, who attempted in vain to track down the two men. Revenge, however, allegedly fell on Ciro Pariso, Mario's son, who was threatened, beaten, and forced to hand over luxury watches worth €150 as "compensation" for his loss.
Attempted Murders and the Clan War
The investigation also reconstructed two failed ambushes targeting Fortunato Lequile, Gennaro Belaeff 's uncle , and Carlo Giuliano, Antonio's brother. Both incidents, which are part of a pattern of cross-party vendettas, did not target individuals directly involved in the feud between the Sessos and the Elias.
The precautionary measure executed yesterday involves five suspects, three of whom were already detained for other crimes, while the other two—brothers Ciro and Giuseppe Sesso—were under house arrest. The investigation by the Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA) , which also involved the San Ferdinando police station led by director Emilio Basile, has provided a clear framework for the responsibilities of those arrested, top figures in the historic Pallonetto criminal group.
