Ciro Oliva was a “walking dead man” because he had a debt of 180 thousand euros with the Mazzarella clan, 21 thousand with the De Mico clan and 8 thousand with the Di Lauro clan.
Article Key Points
He had been arrested and the drugs he was selling on the Caserta and Benevento markets had been seized. First they had tried to poison him in prison with bleach in a bottle of water and then when he had been placed under house arrest the Mazzarella clan had tried to enter his home several times even through acquaintances.
Oliva had understood that the clan only wanted to harm him because he knew he couldn't get the money back. He had changed residence and at that point, in order to track him down and bring him out into the open, the Mazzarella clan had kidnapped his partner's minor son.
Among the perpetrators of the kidnapping are Rosa Faiello and her husband Salvatore Esposito, two leaders of the Mazzarella clan and among the five who ended up in prison today thanks to the blitz by the Carabinieri under the orders of the Naples DDA.
The 198 pages of the precautionary order signed by the investigating judge Giovanni De Angelis of the Court of Naples tell the story of Ciro Oliva who for escape the clan he then showed up at the Cercola Carabinieri with some cocaine and was arrested.
The investigation also concerns a large drug trafficking ring managed by Rosa Faiello and her husband in Ponticelli and the Pazzigno district: 19 people are under investigation. Of these, 5 have ended up in prison, 5 have been ordered to remain in their homes and another six are under investigation at large.
