Castellammare – A year after his arrest, Michele D'Alessandro junior, 32, namesake nephew of the deceased godfather and son of long-time prisoner Luigi D'Alessandro, leaves prison and is granted house arrest outside the Campania region.
He had been arrested on the orders of the Dda of Naples, thanks to the investigations of the Guardia di Finanza together with six other accomplices all accused of extortion and money laundering.
Michele D'Alessandro junior, defended by the lawyer Gennaro Somma, managed to obtain release to house arrest. He had been locked up in the same penitentiary as his father Luigi.
Now at the end of April there will be a trial with an abbreviated procedure which provides for reduced sentences.
The charges are of criminal association aimed at collecting clandestine bets and extortion aggravated by mafia methods for the distribution of Christmas gadgets to traders in Castellammare di Stabia.
