Naples – "Bradyseism has always been a problem in the Phlegraean Fields; it's been around for millennia. Over the past year, it's been worsening, but we can't even think about moving tens of thousands of people; we have to help them live safely."

The president of ANCI and mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, said this this morning on Radio24.

And then he added: "Now we are in a slowdown phase, but we know well that the swarm is cyclical", added Manfredi, highlighting that "we must live with this phenomenon, as we have done for centuries: we must work on the safety of infrastructures to ensure that buildings are safe. We must work on the organization of a possible emergency and on management plans for people who, when there are these tremors, are afraid, take to the streets and must be assisted".
