Il Minister for Civil Protection, Nello Musumeci, announced that he will sign the decree for the next few hours declaration of a state of national mobilization for the area of Campi Flegrei.
He confirmed this during an interview with Rainews24, stressing that he had already received the official request from the Campania region. “I have received the request to decree a state of national mobilization and, after a brief investigation that the Department of Civil Protection is already carrying out, I will sign the decree”, explained Musumeci.
As required by current legislation, it is the president of the Campania Region to have to officially advance the request, an act that has already been formalized. The adoption of the state of national mobilization represents a crucial step to address the emergency related to the bradyseism in the Phlegraean area, ensuring greater coordination between institutions and extraordinary resources for the management of seismic and volcanic risk.
