Capodrise, untraceable food and insects in the supermarket: seizure and closure

Capodrise – Joint operation of the Carabinieri of the Marcianise Company and the NAS of Caserta in a supermarket in Capodrise, where untraceable food and insects were found in the laboratory.

As part of an intensification of health and hygiene controls in the area, the Carabinieri of the Marcianise Company, in collaboration with the Anti-adulteration and Health Unit of Caserta, carried out an inspection in a supermarket in Capodrise.

Confiscated Food and Unhealthy Laboratory

During the checks, approximately 45 kg of untraceable food were seized. In the fresh produce production and packaging laboratory, the presence of pest insects was found.

Sanctions and closure

Following the serious hygiene and health deficiencies, the Carabinieri ordered the immediate suspension of the laboratory's activity and imposed administrative sanctions for a total of 2.500 euros.
