New hearing at the Court of Naples North of Aversa in the criminal trial against the Marshal of the Guardia di Finanza Joseph Carione, former president of the Committee for the Celebrations of the Madonna di Casaluce.
During the hearing he testified Mario Comella, Prior of the Celestine Brotherhood, who recounted the events suffered by the priest of the Casaluce Sanctuary, attributing responsibility to Marshal Carione.
The engineer was later heard Orestes Gratian, official of Superintendence for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape of the Provinces of Caserta and Benevento, who reported numerous complaints received by his office, signed by Carione himself, against the parish priest.
The witnesses were questioned by the Public minister, from the lawyers of the civil party, the lawyers Gaetano and Raffaele Crisileo, and by the defendant's lawyer, the attorney Alfonso the Fourth.
According to the prosecution, the priest was the victim of stalking by Carione, who would have carried out a series of persecutory actions, including the dissemination of defamatory posters posted throughout Casaluce, creating great dismay among the citizens.
Furthermore, the former president of the Celebration Committee would have sent numerous exhibits al Prefect, to the Police Chief, to the Mayor of Casaluce, to the Superintendency of Fine Arts, to the Carabinieri of Teverola and to the Bishop of Aversa, also transmitting them to the Public Prosecutor's Office of North Naples, which promptly archived them.
The alleged persecutory conduct, which continued for a long period, would have had serious consequences on the priest, who, now exhausted, would have been forced to seek medical treatment before reporting Carione to the judiciary.
Lawyers Gaetano and Raffaele Crisileo they have constituted themselves as civil parties in the trial, which will continue in the next hearings.
