A sixteen-year-old was arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of attempted murder. The victim, the mother, was shot several times in the chest and shoulder. Fortunately, the woman's conditions are not serious.
Early this morning, the Carabinieri arrested a 16-year-old after a violent domestic episode that occurred in Camigliano, in the province of Caserta. The young man allegedly attacked his mother with a kitchen knife, stabbing her several times in the chest and shoulder.
The emergency call
It all started around 2:00 this morning, when a woman rang the intercom of the Pignataro Maggiore Carabinieri Station, reporting the assault in progress in Camigliano. The call was immediately forwarded to the Operations Center of Capua, which sent two patrols of the Operations and Radiomobile Nucleus and the local Station, already engaged in a territory control service, to the site.
Rescue of the victim
When they reached the indicated house, the soldiers found the woman lying on the ground, with obvious wounds to her chest and shoulders. The 118 personnel had already intervened and were preparing the ambulance transport to the civil hospital of Sessa Aurunca. The victim was then hospitalized and treated: fortunately, the shots did not hit vital organs, but she was kept under observation.
The arrest of the young man
During a search of the apartment, the Carabinieri tracked down the boy, locked in a room. At the invitation of the military, the sixteen-year-old opened the door without resistance, handing himself over.
The reconstruction of the facts
From the first investigations conducted by the Pignataro Maggiore Station, it emerges that the young man, after having taken a knife in the kitchen, attacked his mother for trivial reasons, inflicting at least three non-fatal stab wounds.
The minor was transferred to the barracks and, after the formal procedures, was locked up in the juvenile justice centre of Napoli – Colli Aminei, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
The episode has shaken the small community of Camigliano, leaving questions about the family dynamics that led to such an extreme gesture. Investigations continue to clarify every aspect of the story.
