The operation was triggered following an inspection that highlighted serious irregularities in the management of the business.
The plant, which specializes in the treatment of materials from building demolitions through crushing, is said to have undergone significant structural changes without the necessary authorizations for atmospheric emissions.
Furthermore, the military found an illegal management of non-hazardous special waste. The area where the plant is located is subject to landscape restrictions imposed by the “Galasso” law of 1985, which protects specific categories of environmental assets, including coastal strips, river areas and wooded areas.
