Castel Campagnano - The Carabinieri of the Formicola Forestry Unit, in collaboration with the military of the Ruviano Station and with the technical support of the ARPAC of Caserta, have placed under seizure an inert waste recovery plant located in the locality of “Marrochelle”.

The operation was triggered following an inspection that highlighted serious irregularities in the management of the business.

The plant, which specializes in the treatment of materials from building demolitions through crushing, is said to have undergone significant structural changes without the necessary authorizations for atmospheric emissions.

Furthermore, the military found an illegal management of non-hazardous special waste. The area where the plant is located is subject to landscape restrictions imposed by the “Galasso” law of 1985, which protects specific categories of environmental assets, including coastal strips, river areas and wooded areas.

In light of the violations found, the police They ordered the seizure of the entire plant, which covers approximately 20.000 square metres, and reported two managers for environmental crimes in competition.

The article is interesting but it seems strange to me that there were such irregularities in a waste recovery plant, there should be stricter controls to avoid these problems, nature is important.

It's true, I don't understand how it's possible that a plant can operate without authorization, the Galasso law is very clear and must be respected by everyone, otherwise there are consequences.
