Technological enhancement works on the line continue Circumvesuviana San Giorgio-Volla-Baiano.
The Ente Autonomo Volturno (EAV) has announced that, to allow for extraordinary work to be carried out on the centralized traffic control system, rail traffic will be suspended from 15:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 until the start of service on Monday, March 10.
Cutting-edge technology for a more efficient and safe service
The implementation of the centralized traffic control system represents a significant step forward for the railway network. This cutting-edge system will enable remote control and regulation of traffic on lines and stations from central locations, improving operational efficiency and safety.
The advantages of the new system
Greater punctuality: reduction of delays and optimization of travel times.
Efficient traffic management: better coordination of operations and increased line capacity.
Increased safety: constant monitoring of traffic and timely intervention in case of anomalies.
Replacement service and assistance to travellers
During the interruption, a replacement bus service will be active. The ticket offices at the stations of Baiano, Nola, Pomigliano d'Arco and Volla, where the replacement service vehicles will stop, will remain open to ensure assistance to travellers. The replacement services, entrusted to Air Campania and already active, will be carried out regularly with the expected methods. All information on timetables and routes is available on the EAV website.
