The Church of the Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini in Naples will host the opening of the Spring Concerts season, coordinated by the Arciconfraternita dei Pellegrini in collaboration with the AFI – Falaut Ets Association. The opening event, scheduled for March 28, 2025 at 18.30:XNUMX p.m., is a free flute concert open to the public.
Debut Concert
The evening will be introduced by a greeting from Giovanni Cacace, first priest of the Archconfraternity, followed by a performance by the Falaut Flute Orchestra. The musical program “Souvenir di flauti” includes pieces from various historical periods, from 16th-century compositions to contemporary music. Composers represented include Diego Ortiz, Johann Pachelbel, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Vivaldi and modern artists such as Alberto Ginastera, Leonard Bernstein, Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer.
Initiatives for Youth
Giovanni Cacace highlighted the fundamental role of music as a tool for communication between generations, also representing a way to combat violence. The spring concerts are a prelude to a significant event planned for June, realized in collaboration with the Teatro di San Carlo and other cultural institutions.
Continuation of the Season
The season will continue on April 4 with a performance by the Orchestra Filarmonica Franco Caracciolo at the same venue. The Falaut Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Paolo Totti, will present a repertoire that covers Renaissance music to contemporary pieces, including operas and film scores. The original arrangements and curated concerts highlight the contribution of the Falaut Flute Orchestra to the international music scene, uniting generations of musicians with a diverse repertoire.

The article talks about a concert in Naples that seems interesting but I don't know if I'll go. Flutes are a beautiful instrument, but it depends on the pieces they play, and I prefer more modern music.
