NAPLES – After a long administrative process, the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella is finally moving towards recovery: the announcement was given by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, during the presentation of a public notice for the financing of projects aimed at cultural and creative enterprises in Campania.

“It was a complex and tiring job, but we managed to double the funds planned for the renovation”, said De Luca. The initial funding, which amounted to 7-8 million euros, was brought to 15 million, allowing for a broader and more structured intervention. According to the governor, the work will begin between late spring and early summer.

“San Pietro a Majella is a world cultural heritage - he stressed - and leaving it in a state of abandonment would have been a real crime." The restoration of the prestigious conservatory represents a fundamental step towards the protection and valorization of one of the symbols of the great Neapolitan musical tradition.
