The Governor of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, visited the Policlinico di Napoli today, calling it “one of the points of excellence of Campania healthcare”. In particular, De Luca underlined the high number of births, about 3.000 per year, and the facility's ability to manage complex cases.
“Here at the Policlinico difficult births arrive,” he stated De Luca, highlighting the presence of an excellent facility for medically assisted procreation and the introduction of a pediatric surgical robot, “I believe it is the only reality in Italy”.
The Governor then praised the department for the treatment of stone disease, equipped with cutting-edge technologies for the removal of stones and the analysis of their composition, thus allowing for personalized therapies and nutritional prescriptions.
“We are facing a reality of extraordinary healthcare quality,” De Luca reiterated, announcing an investment of 12-15 million euros to strengthen the cardiac and pulmonary surgery department, a project launched by the director of the Policlinico, Giuseppe Longo, after years of stalemate.

I read the article and it seems to me that governor De Luca has done a good job for healthcare in Naples. However, there are always problems in healthcare in general and I hope that this investment will be useful for citizens.
