Ercolano – A large-scale operation conducted by the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Company, in collaboration with the military of the local Tenenza, led to the closure of a drug dealing area and the arrest of four pushers yesterday evening, in via Scivola Ascione.
The military, during a territorial control operation, identified a brick building used as a base for dealing crack and cocaine. The structure, equipped with a video surveillance system to monitor the surrounding area, had become a point of reference for drug addicts in the area.
The raid and the arrests
During the raid, the Carabinieri surprised the four pusher inside the building. In an attempt to get rid of the drugs, one of them threw part of the narcotic substance into the toilet, but the soldiers promptly recovered 21 packages of crack and cocaine from the sewer drain.
The search of the premises led to the discovery of additional doses of drugs, packaging material, cash and a video surveillance system. The four arrested, aged between 25 and 41, are all residents of Ercolano and already known to the police.
During the service, the Carabinieri They carried out further checks in the city, arresting a 38-year-old for evasion and reporting an 18-year-old for illegal possession of weapons and possession of drugs.
Several commercial establishments were also checked, with sanctions for health and hygiene violations and illegal work. In particular, a betting agency was closed and a bar was suspended from serving food.
