Melbourne – McLaren dominated qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix with a stunning one-two at Albert Park. Lando Norris took his first pole position of the season – the tenth of his career – ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri. Behind them were Max Verstappen for Red Bull and George Russell for Mercedes.
Difficult day for Ferrari: Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz had to settle for the fourth row, with the Monegasque ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Also ahead of the Reds were Yuki Tsunoda (sixth) and Alexander Albon (seventh).
Qualifying to forget for Andrea Kimi Antonelli, eliminated in Q1 with his Mercedes (16th), as well as the Red Bull of Liam Lawson (18th). Disaster for Oliver Bearman, forced to start from the last position due to a gearbox problem.
McLaren proved to be dominant at the decisive moment, despite a less brilliant start to Q3. In the end, the Woking team imposed its pace, monopolizing the front row and confirming its position as one of the protagonists of this season.

McLaren did a great job in qualifying, but I wonder if Ferrari can improve in the future. Leclerc and Sainz seem to be having problems, I hope they can recover for the next race.
