During the night, the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Territorial Department of Mondragone intercepted and reported three 17-year-old Egyptian minors for aggravated theft.
The young people were caught while carrying four heavy concrete statues, depicting animals and used as garden furniture, along the Via Domiziana in Castel Volturno, in the province of Caserta.
The Carabinieri, during a patrol, noticed the three boys struggling to carry the statues and stopped them for a check. The minors were unable to provide any explanation as to the origin of the objects. Shortly after, the owner of a nearby hardware store arrived on site and reported the theft of the statues.
