Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "string quintets" will be performed in an event expected at the Teatro Sannazaro in Naples. The concert, organized by the Alessandro Scarlatti Association, is scheduled for next Thursday, March 20, at 20.30:XNUMX p.m., and will feature the Gringolts Quartet together with violist Lily Francis.
Program and Repertoire
The evening's program includes the quintets K 174, K 515 and K 516, offering the audience a taste of Mozart's string production. In particular, the String Quintet No. 1 in B flat major K 174 dates back to 1773 and reveals the influence of Michael Haydn. The quintets K 515 and K 516 were instead composed in 1787, a crucial year for the composer, marking an important moment in his artistic career.
Performance and Artists
The Gringolts Quartet, founded by violinist Ilya Gringolts in 2008, will be the centerpiece of the concert. Gringolts, known for winning the first prize at the Paganini Competition in Genoa in 1998, will lead the ensemble also composed of violinist Anahit Kurtikyan, violist Silvia Simionescu and cellist Claudius Herrmann. The experience of American violist Lily Francis will enrich the group during this performance. The musical event represents a significant meeting between the Austrian musical tradition and the skills of internationally renowned performers.

It's a very interesting concert, but I don't know if I can go because I have commitments. Mozart's quintets are beautiful and it would be nice to hear them live, I hope there will be other opportunities in the future.
