An innovative theatrical format continues to surprise audiences, transforming common spaces into stages of deep emotions and conflicts. “Do Not Disturb”, created by Mario Gelardi and Claudio Finelli, once again promises to be an unmissable event for theater enthusiasts that explores new dimensions. On March 29 and 30, the Palazzo Caracciolo in Naples will host this unique experience, with two new stories ready to be told in an intimate and engaging context.
The new stories on stage
Among the shows on the program, “Il Calciatore”, directed by Mario Gelardi and adapted by Biagio Di Carlo, brings to the fore the secret meeting between a young footballer and a lap dancer. Through a narrative intertwined with desire and lies, the audience is drawn into a psychological choreography that reflects their ambitions and misunderstandings. On the same stage, “I Testimoni” by Mario Gelardi adds a touch of 90s British comedy: a couple wakes up in a hotel with no memory of the previous night, exploring a path of personal discoveries and admissions.
The immersive experience of “Do Not Disturb”
Mario Gelardi describes “Do Not Disturb” not only as a theatrical production, but as a direct and intimate experience that breaks down the barriers between actors and spectators. Each performance becomes an opportunity to glimpse fragments of life, giving the audience the intense sensation of being participants in moments that mix reality and fiction. A formula that transforms hotel rooms into real scenic spaces, creating an invisible link between constantly evolving stories and those who observe them.

I read the article and it seems to me that the idea of an innovative theatrical format is interesting, but I am not sure if these new stories will really engage the audience as hoped. The combination of emotions and conflict can be difficult to manage on stage.
