Juventus is a total disaster and Juventus fans can only look at themselves in the mirror and cry. The choice of Thiago Motta as coach for the 2024-2025 season was a resounding flop, a mistake that even a child would have avoided.
And now, after having kicked him out with his tail between his legs, the Bianconeri are relying on Igor Tudor, someone who ran away from Lotito and Lazio for reasons that no one has yet fully understood – but who cares, right?
The truth, dear Juventus fans, is that without Allegri and his “non-game” you are lost, because your museum mentality no longer works in a football that rewards those with young and fresh ideas, not those who hide behind the name of “champion” thinking that that is enough to win easily.
Thiago Motta, the broken dream: a disaster waiting to happen
Turin, March 30, 2025 – Juventus had decided to turn the page after the farewell of Massimiliano Allegri, dismissed in 2024 for “behaviors incompatible with the club’s values” – translate: he had angered Giuntoli during the celebrations for the Coppa Italia.
And so, on June 12, 2024, Thiago Motta arrived, the Italian-Brazilian coach who had worked wonders in Bologna, leading the rossoblù to the Champions League. “He is the man of the future,” said the Bianconeri directors, with Giuntoli rubbing his hands thinking he had found the new Guardiola. Too bad that Motta, with his idea of fluid and modern play, lasted less than an ice cream in the sun.
The season began with a 3-0 win over Como that had given everyone hope, but then it was a disaster: too many draws, humiliating defeats like the 4-0 at home against Atalanta – the worst home defeat since 1967 – and the 3-0 in Florence against Fiorentina. Out of the Champions League at the hands of PSV, out of the Coppa Italia against Empoli's reserves, and in Serie A Juventus slipped to fifth place, far from league leaders Inter.
Motta failed to manage the locker room – it is said that there was no feeling with the players – and his tactical revolution ended in a black hole. On March 23, 2025, after just 9 months, Juve sent him home, with a statement that smacks of mockery: “Thank you for your passion and dedication.” Yes, of course, and thank you for making us laugh.
Tudor, the fireman who runs away from Lotito: but who believes it?
In place of Motta comes Igor Tudor, a name that makes you smile. The Croatian, former Juventus defender, has signed a three-month contract with an option for the Champions League - a way of saying: "Let's see if you save us, otherwise goodbye". Tudor had escaped from Lotito's Lazio for mysterious reasons, which no one has yet clarified. Some say there are differences in the management of the team, some say unfulfilled promises, but the truth is that Tudor seems to be yet another patch on a holed blanket.
Juventus hopes that his intense pressing and his “tough guy” character can give a jolt to a soft and disoriented team, but let’s be serious: do you really think that a ferryman can solve your problems? The reality is that Tudor is just a way to buy time, while Juventus fans continue to dream of Allegri’s return, as if he were the Messiah.
Without Allegri you don't win: but the problem is the old man mentality
And here we come to the point, dear Juventus fans: without Allegri and his "non-game" you are naked. Allegri, with all his limitations, kept you afloat with a skeletal but practical football, which led you to win the Coppa Italia and finish third in Serie A last year, despite a season without European cups.
But now that football has changed, your “team of champions” mentality no longer works. Did you think that just taking Motta, a young coach with modern ideas, would be enough to return to dominance? Wrong! Juventus has fallen behind, prisoner of an ideology of old men: the one that wins is the one who is stronger on paper, the one with the longest list of achievements, not the one who proves himself on the pitch.
Football today rewards teams with a young mentality, that run, press and play with intensity, like Gasperini's Atalanta or Conte's Napoli. Juventus, on the other hand, is a dinosaur: a squad full of expensive promises like Koopmeiners - paid 60 million to make an appearance - and Vlahovic, who doesn't even score if you shoot the ball at him. Motta tried to change things, but he crashed into an environment that never really accepted him. And the fans? You can read all sorts of things on the web: "We need someone who understands what it means to play for Juventus," they write. Translate: "We want Allegri back." Pathetic.
Juventus fans, wake up: the world has moved on
The truth is that Juventus no longer knows how to win without its old game plan, the one that Motta tried to dismantle without success. But the problem is not just the coach: it is the entire Juventus environment, which lives off the rent of a glorious past while modern football laughs in its face.
Tudor may even give a jolt, but don't fool yourselves: without a profound change in mentality, you will continue to eat the dust of those who have understood that in 2025 being "champions" is not enough to win easily. So, dear Juventus fans, stop feeling sorry for yourselves and dreaming of Allegri's return: the world has moved on, and you are stuck in the Middle Ages. Good luck with Tudor, you will need it!

Juventus has a lot of problems, but it's not just the coaches, it's also a question of mentality. The choice of Thiago Motta seemed good but in the end it was wrong. Now with Tudor we hope that things will improve.
