The Church of S. Maria Donnalbina in Naples will host “La Passione Secondo Pergolesi” on April 18 at 19.00:XNUMX pm, the inaugural event of the musical festival “La Musica Cambia la Vita”, organized by the Collegium Philarmonicum Association.

The Inaugural Event and the Protagonists

On Good Friday, the event will feature Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater", thus opening a long cycle of musical events based on the theme "The Song of Partenope". The inauguration will feature the participation of soprano Anastasiia Sagaydak, mezzo-soprano Sayumi Kaneko and the Collegium Philarmonicum Youth Orchestra. The initiative is in collaboration with the Academy for Opera Singers of the Fondazione del Teatro San Carlo in Naples.

Artistic Direction and Three-Year Program

The artistic director of the event is Maestro Gennaro Cappabianca, who will lead a three-year period of performances from 2025 to 2027 with different themes: “Il Canto di Partenope” (2025), “Un Mare di Suoni” (2026) and “Strumenti di Pace” (2027). The musical festival will take place in different locations in Campania and the city of Rome, with events that will continue from April to December.

Ambition and Support

During this musical event, twenty-two concerts, three masterclasses, three final concerts and three choral workshops will be presented. The initiative is supported by the Campania Region, the MIC – Ministry of Culture, Azzurro Service and MED, underlining the cultural and social importance of music as an element of change and renewal.
