On the occasion of World Theater Day, Friday March 27, 2025, the final event of the project “Il Filo delle Storie”, entitled Lezione Aperta Genitori-Figli, will be held in Naples. This initiative, supported by the Vernicefresca ETS Association, will involve the Comprehensive Institutes “Russo – Montale” and “Foscolo – Oberdan”. The project was carried out with funding from the Municipality of Naples as part of the “TEATRO che classe!” review.
The project saw the active participation of over 80 students and 10 teachers, with the aim of promoting values such as legality and civic spirit. Through theatrical and educational workshops, it was also aimed at combating school dropout.
An opportunity to share
The Open Lesson will represent an opportunity for sharing for participants, offering parents and children the possibility to participate together in theatrical activities. Families will be able to directly experience the educational experience, strengthening the bond between school, family and territory.
Theatre as an educational tool
Roberta Prisco, president of the Vernicefresca ETS Association and organizational director of the project, emphasized the value of theater as an educational tool, declaring: “Theater is a powerful educational tool that allows children to express themselves freely, overcome insecurities and build positive relationships. With this Open Lesson we also want to involve families, because we believe that school should be a bridge between the territory and the community.”

the initiative seems very interesting and useful for families and students, but I wonder if there will be enough activities for everyone. Also, it is important that the municipality continues to support projects like this, for the good of the community.
