This morning, bandits were active at the BPM bank on Via Roma in Melito. A commando of criminals stormed the bank, acting quickly and managing to escape with the loot, the exact value of which has not yet been determined.
I police of the local police station and the Marano Company promptly intervened on site, starting the necessary investigations.

Initial reports suggest the attack was carried out by a group of three individuals, two men and a woman. Their faces were covered and they were armed with knives. They allegedly threatened bank staff, forcing them to hand over the cash in the cash registers.

It is really alarming that in an area like Melito there are still bandits who act in this way. Security in banks must be increased, otherwise there will be more and more attacks like this. Let's hope that the investigations bring results.
I don't understand how it can get to this point, safety should be a priority. I hope the culprits are found soon and that there are no other similar situations in the future. It is worrying to see a woman involved.
