NAPLES – A 32-year-old of Senegalese origin, with a police record and an illegal immigrant on Italian territory, has been reported for introducing into the country and trading in counterfeit products and receiving stolen goods.
The arrest occurred yesterday morning, when the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, engaged in a territorial control, noticed a man with a large bag in via Carbonara. At the sight of the patrol, the subject accelerated his pace in an attempt to get away, thus arousing the suspicions of the police.
The officers immediately reached him and searched him, finding him in possession of 23 bags, 9 wallets, as well as belts and scarves, for a total of 40 items bearing the brands of well-known fashion houses, but which turned out to be counterfeit. The man was unable to justify their origin. For these reasons, the 32-year-old was reported and the goods seized.

It's strange that a person can have so many counterfeit items and have no explanation. I don't know why there is still so much trade in counterfeit products in Italy, it should be more controlled by the authorities.
