Naples – The extraordinary checks implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters to curb crimes related to the illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking continue unabated.
In recent days, State Police officers have scored a new coup in the fight against drug dealing, arresting a 37-year-old Neapolitan already known to the police.
The operation began in Viale Gramsci, in the heart of the Chiaia district, where the Falcons of the Flying Squad, engaged in a targeted crime-fighting activity, stopped a man on board a car.
During the check, the officers discovered, hidden in the glove compartment of the vehicle, numerous packages containing cocaine, for a total of approximately 160 grams.
The discovery of the narcotic substance immediately led to the handcuffs being snapped on the 37-year-old, accused of illicit drug possession. The arrest, carried out on site by Police personnel, represents yet another result of the extraordinary services set up to guarantee safety and legality in the Neapolitan territory.
